Things to do in Villamartin

Visit one of the blue flag beaches

There are a great selection of blue flag beaches on the Orihuela Costa, which is in very close proximity to Villamartin. These include; Playa La Zenia, Playa Flamenca, Cabo Roig and the beaches of Campoamor; Barranco Rubio Beach and La Glea Beach.

Play Golf in Las Ramblas, Villamartin Golf Club and Campoamor

The area in and around Villamartin gives golfers a great choice of lovely golf courses together with all year round sunny weather.

Visit the Villamartin Plaza

This beautiful plaza is the central hub of Villamartin and is very popular with residents and tourists. You can find a variety of restaurants and bars, which are open throughout the year. The plaza is well known for its great summer entertainment, with live music. Previous artists such as, Leo Sayer, Ray Lewis and the Drifters and Les McKeown’s Bay City Rollers. There are also other artists that give great entertainment singing popular cover songs to get you off your chairs and dancing into the night.

Shopping in La Zenia Boulevard

The largest outdoor shopping centre in the Alicante Province. As well as a great selection of shops and restaurants, it has an entertainment area for children to keep them occupied.

Transport in Villamartin

Buses are the only public transport available in Villamartin with just a few buses going through every day and this depends on if it is summer or winter. The bus goes up to Campoamor and down to La Zenia and to Playa Flamenca.

Villamartin is located approximately 3.5km from the main national road (N-332). The N-332 runs for 386km from Cartagena to Valencia. The AP-7 highway is only located about 3km away and this road takes you along the meditaranean coast, from the border of France and Spain to Vera in the Almeria province in the south. Note that there is a toll fee at this point.
